Inciting action
It took much deliberation and thought to decide how best to display emotion. My decision was to examine the emotions of someone woken suddenly and to create emphasis on said emotions. And as fate would have it, my roommate Jason felt particularly tired Wednesday afternoon.
|
Fourth attempt
In an attempt to create emphasis on the emotions of a startled sleeper I poked the snoring Jason awake. His reaction was poor, he did not understand why I was poking him and he did
NOT show anything more than a dazed look .

A focal point is established by the repeating head placement
This interaction was a catalyst for the rest of my attempts to live design. The rhythm of his snoring was quite distracting during my thinking and it propelled him into imaginary conflict. This imaginary conflict arose from his display of confusion which became the first emphasized emotion in the performance.

His confusion is emphasized by him not looking at the camera
